The Glucose Goddess Method

The Glucose Goddess Method The Glucose Goddess Method is a holistic approach to health that focuses on balancing blood sugar levels for overall well-being.  It involves making mindful food choices that stabilize blood sugar, which can lead to benefits like increased energy, improved mood, and weight management. This method emphasizes whole, nutrient-dense foods and encourages lifestyle changes for long-term health.  Main goals are to reduce sugar cravings, increase energy, balance hormones, improve skin condition, and improve overall health. Weight loss is a positive side effect for many users.  The method boasts that there are no restrictions, no calorie-counting and you get to eat everything you love.   The Glucose Goddess Method gradually introduces the four “hacks” as the author, Jessie Inchauspe, a French biochemist, calls them.  It is a 4-week 4-step program that comes with an interactive workbook and 100 recipes.  Each week builds on the one bef...

Gastric Bypass

Gastric Bypass Surgery Gastric bypass surgery, also known as Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, is a popular bariatric procedure that is used to help people with severe obesity lose weight and improve their overall health. It is typically performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon first divides the stomach into two parts using staples to create a small upper pouch that will become the new, smaller stomach. This pouch can only hold a small amount of food which leads to early satiety. Then the small intestine is divided and the lower end is attached to the small pouch. The intestines are re-arrranged to form a Y-shape to bypass a portion of the stomach and the upper part of the small intestine to reduce the amount of food absorbed, thereby limiting calorie intake. After the surgery, patients are monitored in the hospital for a few days and the diet is gradually transitioned from a liquid diet to pureed and then soft foods and eventually to solid food.  Like any surgical procedure, gastri...

Whole 30

Whole 30 The Whole 30 eating plan is a 30-day dietary reset designed to help you discover which foods might be affecting your health. During this period, you eliminate foods that could be causing inflammation, such as added sugars, grains, dairy, legumes, and some additives. Weight loss is not the main goal of the diet, but many people report it as being a beneficial side effect on top of feeling healthier overall. You are not allowed to weigh or measure yourself during the 30 days.   The goal is to focus on whole, unprocessed foods like vegetables, fruits, lean meats, nuts, and healthy fats. There are many food rules and restrictions, such as not being able to recreate favorite food like pancakes, baked goods, even if made with Whole 30-approved ingredients. By removing potentially problematic foods for a month (the elimination phase), you give your body a chance to heal and reset. After the 30 days, you gradually reintroduce the eliminated foods one group at a time for at ...
